We are a Portfolio School and see how we are different from the rest of the traditional institutions.
- Unlike academic institutions, we help our students to develop creative portfolios and creative portfolios are what they leave school with instead of diplomas and degrees. Why? For employers in creative industries, a creative portfolio is what determines the creativity and employability of a job seeker, academic qualifications per se do not.
- Our students learn by doing. Our students do not learn by reading textbooks. They do not sit in lectures learning about what is written in textbooks.
- We use performance-based assessment method. Assessment is through submission of a creative portfolio filled with works that demonstrate professionalism and excellence from a professional’s perspective. Our students do not write exams to prove what they best what’s in textbooks.
- Only experienced working industry professionals teach our courses.
- Our programmes develop problem-solving, strategic thinking, conceptual and creative skills which are the fundamental employability skills requirements for employers in creative industries. Academic education does not emphasize these requirements.
- Persons who fail high school exams but can express themselves in the English language can study with us.
